UK MUSIC HERITAGE COURSE
Waltham Forest-based Rendezvous Projects collect the social history and preserve it for future generations as well as presenting it to the public in creative ways, such as in exhibitions & publications. They have been researching the massive contribution that local young people made to UK dance music culture in the late 80s and early 90s.
Partnering with CES & local producers Wayne George (DJ Dlux) of Brain Records, and Music House (Dub Cutting Studio), some of this heritage is being brought to life and shared with students through an exciting and engaging series of workshops and practical learning experiences. The workshops link today’s young people with both the history in the borough and production techniques which encourage creative exploration.
