2024 was the absolute best year so far for our CIC, supporting young people and our communities across the London boroughs, reaching more people and helping other services with our skills in the creative industry and the Community Cohesion area.
We’re proud to share just some of our highlights from an incredible year:
- Launched 5 new youth spaces in Waltham Forest.
- Developed and launched 3 Radio & Podcast Streaming Apps, including our very own Waltham Forest Youth App, “ARIA”
- Launched the Tower Hamlets Youth Council Podcast series.
- Empowered young people through creative media projects, incl. celebrating Windrush Heritage and the Newham Heritage & Culture project, highlighting the impacts of music and its importance in defining a generation.
- Hosted the sound stage at the relaunched Leyton Carnival 2024.
- Supported community initiatives delivering inter-generational programs that saw groups of young people working alongside local residents with dementia.
- Launched the Detached Support team as part of the Waltham Forest Safer Route Pilot.
